Gulliver's Travels: Semester Calendar
Every time reading is due, you are expected to come to class prepared to discuss the literature in depth.
Jot down five of the most interesting or important or curious events or characters or comments.
In other words, you are reading actively and determining what you think is significant. Why is up to you.
Show your list to Mr. Koch at the beginning of class, and then hang on to it for discussion if you want.
When we have a GT class, you can expect a brief comprehension quiz to verify that you've been reading, and some literary analysis-type conversation. If you read thoroughly, you should do great on the quiz. And if you contribute to the discussion, you'll get positive outcomes.
These are always on Fridays!
